I NEVER THOUGHT I WOULD START A BLOG….

This blog is about a 52 year old father reflecting back on 24 years of marriage and parenting. My primary purpose is to share my experiences raising a son and a daughter in this modern age. I’m just a normal guy from Portland, Oregon who has been married for 24 years with 2 teenage children. I have been in the commercial real estate industry for 25 years and my career has paid the bills and provided a roof over our home. Most importantly this career has provided me the freedom to spend lots of time with my family. Whether it was coaching youth sports or taking a spontaneous 4 day road trip, I have always put my family first and that is what I will always be most proud of.

Writing a blog was never in my game plan. But in recent years as my kids have reached adolescence and matured into young adults I thought it was time to start writing down all of my memories. The years have flown by and it turns out these years go by much more quickly than anyone will admit. Luckily, I still have a year or so with a child under my roof. I am excited to enjoy this final stretch and appreciate every moment I have left
